I'll overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.

Former two time unified title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually happening.
